Tell us what happened and, if you can, send a screenshot. If it's a maths problem, name the group and the amounts you expected — that speeds things up enormously.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

No. Creating a group, logging expenses and seeing who owes whom all work with no sign-up and no internet. An account only becomes necessary if you one day switch on Instant Settle.

Do I need a Brazilian bank account?

Only to settle up. Splitting expenses, tracking a trip and seeing the balances works anywhere in the world. The payment step builds a Pix code, and Pix is Brazil's instant payment system — so paying through the app needs a Brazilian account. Everyone else can still read the ledger and settle however they like.

Is the app available in English?

Not yet — the app's own screens are in Portuguese. This website is in English, but what you install is not. The vocabulary inside is small (amounts, names, who owes whom), so plenty of people get by, but we would rather say so plainly than let you find out after downloading. An English version is on the list.

How do I join a friend's group?

Ask whoever created it for the group code (they'll find it under “Who's in the group → Invite by link”). On the app's home screen, tap Join a group with a code and paste it in.

Do I lose my data if I change phones?

The data lives on the device. Shared groups can be recovered on another phone using the group code. Groups that were never shared exist only there — so if a group matters, share it.

Does the app touch my money?

No. Quits builds the Pix code and you confirm the payment in your own bank's app, like any other Pix. No money passes through us.

The books closed a cent off

They shouldn't — the balances in a group always sum to exactly zero, and when a split doesn't divide evenly the leftover cent has a defined owner. If you saw a difference, that's a bug and we want to know: send a screenshot of the “Open ledger” screen.

I deleted an expense by accident

Right after deleting, a notice appears with Undo — that's the fastest way back. If the notice is already gone, just log the expense again.

How do I erase everything?

Under You → Erase everything and start over. It asks for confirmation, wipes the groups and expenses on this device and keeps only your name and Pix key. There is no undo, so think twice.

Found a bug?

Send it to the same address with as much detail as you can manage: what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. An app that handles money has to earn trust — a reported bug is a fixed bug.
